1.Introduction
These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Tailor 67 website and the custom tailoring, ready-to-wear and accessories services offered through it ("Services"). By placing an order or otherwise using the Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and by the service-specific policies referenced below.
Tailor 67 is a bespoke tailoring and fashion business based in Bikaner, Rajasthan, operating since 1967. References to "we", "us" or "Tailor 67" refer to the operating business, and the legal entity details are set out in Section 39 (Contact Details).
2.Scope and Applicability
These Terms apply to all orders placed through the Tailor 67 website across our three service categories:
- Custom Tailoring & Measurement Services
- Ready-to-Wear Garments
- Accessories
Where a specific policy (Refund & Cancellation Policy, Shipping & Delivery Policy, Privacy Policy) sets out additional detail for a particular situation, that policy applies together with these Terms. In case of any conflict between these Terms and a service-specific policy on the same subject, the more specific policy shall govern that subject to the extent of the conflict.
3.Definitions
- "Order" means a confirmed request for custom tailoring, a ready-to-wear purchase, or an accessories purchase placed through the website.
- "Trial" means the fitting stage at which a customer reviews a stitched garment (custom tailoring) or inspects a delivered garment at the doorstep (ready-to-wear).
- "Doorstep Trial" means the home comparison facility offered on eligible ready-to-wear orders as described in Section 15.
- "Accepted Product" means a ready-to-wear or accessory item the customer has inspected and confirmed as purchased, whether at checkout or at the doorstep.
4.Eligibility and Account
To place an order, you must provide accurate contact and address information and verify your mobile number through the one-time password (OTP) process. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account access and for all activity that occurs through your account.
5.Orders and Order Confirmation
An order is confirmed once you complete the applicable booking or checkout flow and, where payment is required at that stage, payment is successfully processed. At order confirmation, you will be asked to acknowledge these Terms and the applicable service-specific policy for your order type. Order and policy-version details are retained against your order for our records.
6.Product Information and Availability
We make reasonable efforts to describe garments, designs, accessories and their prices accurately. Colours may appear slightly different depending on your device display. Stock and delivery-capacity availability may change between browsing and checkout; where an item becomes unavailable after you order it, we will inform you and offer an alternative, a rescheduled date, or a refund of any amount already paid for that item.
7.Custom Tailoring Services — Process Overview
The custom tailoring process generally proceeds through the following stages:
- Selection of garment, design and stitching preferences, and appointment booking
- Measurement, taken at your home or through your submitted reference garment
- Fabric collection, where the fabric is supplied by you
- Fabric inspection prior to cutting
- Cutting, performed only once the order is cleared to proceed
- Stitching, according to your confirmed requirements
- Trial and any reasonable fitting corrections
- Final quality check and delivery
Fabric-related issues identified before cutting, tailoring or workmanship issues, fitting/alteration matters, and issues arising after delivery from washing, care or use are each treated differently, as set out in the sections below.
8.Customer-Provided Fabric
Where you supply your own fabric, we will inspect it to the extent reasonably possible before cutting. If we identify a material issue before cutting that may make the fabric unsuitable for the requested garment — for example a visible defect, significant colour bleeding, unacceptable shrinkage detected during a pre-treatment check, structural weakness, damage, insufficient usable fabric, or incompatibility with the requested design — we will inform you and, depending on the issue, may recommend against proceeding, request your confirmation before proceeding, place the order on hold, or decline to proceed if the fabric is materially unsuitable.
If you instruct us to proceed after being informed of an identified risk, we will record your confirmation against the order where practical, and Tailor 67's responsibility for outcomes attributable to that known risk is correspondingly limited.
9.Fabric Pre-Treatment and Pre-Cut Assessment
Where operationally appropriate, we may carry out a pre-cut treatment or wash-test on customer-supplied fabric to help identify risks such as colour bleeding, excessive shrinkage or distortion before cutting. This check is intended to reduce foreseeable fabric-related risk at the pre-cutting stage; it cannot guarantee how the fabric or finished garment will perform under every future washing, drying, ironing, storage or usage condition. Please follow the care instructions provided with your garment.
10.Cutting and Stitching
Cutting begins only once your order is cleared to proceed, and stitching follows your confirmed measurements, design and instructions. Because cutting and stitching are performed specifically for your order, these stages materially affect what cancellation and refund options remain available — see Section 12.
11.Trial and Alterations
After stitching, you will be offered a trial at which you may identify fitting issues such as sleeve length, garment length, waist adjustment, trouser length or similar corrections. We will carry out reasonable fitting corrections that fall within the scope of your original order at no additional tailoring charge.
If a fitting issue remains after the first round of alterations, we will provide a further fitting correction at no additional tailoring charge, subject to the original order, the condition of the garment, and reasonable alteration feasibility. This assurance covers fitting corrections against your confirmed measurements and design — it is not an unlimited or open-ended alteration service.
A request for a materially different design, a major structural change, or a style change unrelated to the original fitting (for example changing the collar design, adding or removing major pockets, or converting one design into another) is treated as a new customisation request and may carry additional charges, which we will inform you of before proceeding.
12.Custom Tailoring Cancellation
Cancellation requests are assessed based on how far production has progressed:
- Before measurement or fabric collection: cancellation is generally available in line with our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
- After measurement and/or fabric collection: cancellation may be subject to a deduction for services already performed and costs reasonably incurred.
- After cutting: cancellation and refund options become more limited because your fabric has already been cut specifically for your order.
- After stitching or customisation has begun: cancellation for a change of mind is generally not available, as the garment has been produced to your specific requirements.
Where Tailor 67 is responsible for a material service failure, defective workmanship, or a failure to deliver the agreed service, that matter is reviewed separately and an appropriate remedy is provided regardless of production stage.
13.Custom Tailoring Refunds
Refunds relating to custom tailoring orders are handled under our Refund & Cancellation Policy, taking into account the production stage reached, materials already consumed, and whether the issue is attributable to Tailor 67 or to you as the customer.
14.Ready-to-Wear Garments
Ready-to-wear garments are pre-made items sold as-is, distinct from custom tailoring. You may order a single item, multiple items, or — where the product configuration allows — a comparison selection, generally of three to four items, for home trial and fit selection.
15.Home Trial & Comparison
Where you order multiple eligible items for comparison, you may inspect and try them at your doorstep at the time of delivery and decide which item(s), if any, you wish to keep. Eligible ready-to-wear orders are intended to be delivered within approximately one hour, subject to stock availability, delivery capacity, serviceable location, and operational conditions such as traffic or weather. This is a service target, not a guaranteed delivery time.
16.₹29 Home Trial & Delivery Fee
Eligible ready-to-wear home trial orders carry a ₹29 Home Trial & Delivery Fee, shown clearly before payment. This fee covers the doorstep delivery and home trial/comparison service and is separate from the price of the garments themselves.
If you order multiple garments for comparison and ultimately accept none of them, the garment purchase amount is ₹0 and the ₹29 Home Trial & Delivery Fee remains payable as the applicable service fee — no additional charge is imposed merely because you do not purchase a garment. If you accept one or more garments, you pay for the accepted garment(s) together with the applicable ₹29 fee.
17.Ready-to-Wear Size Exchange at the Doorstep
If, during the doorstep trial, you find that a different size is needed (for example you ordered size M but require size L), and the delivery executive has the required size available at that time, you may request the exchange on the spot — the original item is taken back and the replacement size provided, and the exchange is recorded against your order.
If the required size is not immediately available, the original item is not treated as available for resale; it is returned for the internal quality-control process described in Section 20, and we will follow up with you regarding exchange availability. You will not be required to place an entirely new order solely because of a size exchange arising from the doorstep trial, unless the specific product or service genuinely requires it.
18.Accepted Ready-to-Wear Products
Once you have inspected a ready-to-wear item, tried it where applicable, and confirmed your purchase — whether at checkout or at the doorstep — the product is treated as an accepted sale. Change-of-mind returns or exchanges are not offered on accepted products, except where the applicable law provides a right in relation to a defective, incorrect, or damaged-at-delivery product, or other non-conforming product, as described in Sections 19 and 21.
19.Ready-to-Wear Manufacturing Defects
If you identify a genuine manufacturing defect — for example defective stitching from manufacture, a broken component present at delivery, a material defect attributable to manufacturing, or an incorrect product supplied — please report it to us with your order number, photographs or video, and a description of the issue. We may request the product back or ask for further reasonable information to investigate. Where a manufacturing defect is verified, we will provide an appropriate remedy such as replacement, repair, exchange, or refund, depending on the product, the defect and availability.
20.Inventory After Return or Exchange
A ready-to-wear item that is returned or exchanged does not automatically become available for resale. It is first placed into an internal "Returned — Quality Check Pending" status and inspected by our staff for physical condition, signs of use, damage, alteration and packaging. Only after this internal quality check is approved is the item returned to sellable inventory.
21.Used, Damaged or Altered Products
Where a complaint is raised after a product has been used, washed, altered, repaired or otherwise modified, we assess whether the issue arose from manufacturing, normal wear and tear, misuse, incorrect washing or ironing, chemical exposure, third-party alteration, accidental damage, or another customer-caused circumstance, and respond accordingly.
22.Washing, Shrinkage and Colour
Garment performance after washing depends on fabric composition, washing method, water conditions, detergent, temperature, drying and ironing. We provide care instructions where available, but we cannot promise that no garment will ever shrink, fade, bleed colour or change texture through normal use. Where a problem is attributable to a manufacturing or material defect rather than ordinary care and use, you may raise it for assessment under Section 19.
23.Accessories
Accessories (such as ties, pocket squares, cufflinks, socks and buttons) are a separate product category. You may order one or more accessories, or a comparison selection where specifically offered on the product.
24.Accessories — Returns, Exchanges and Defects
Where the product listing indicates final sale, change-of-mind returns or exchanges are not offered after acceptance, and this is disclosed before purchase. This exclusion does not affect your rights in relation to a defective, incorrect, damaged-at-delivery, or otherwise non-conforming accessory. If a genuine manufacturing defect is reported within a reasonable period after delivery, we will inspect the product and, where the defect is verified, provide an appropriate remedy depending on the product, the defect, availability and applicable law.
Normal wear and tear — such as scratches from use, accidental breakage, bending, impact damage, damage from unsuitable storage or improper use — does not constitute a manufacturing defect and does not ordinarily qualify for replacement or refund.
25.Fraud, Abuse and False Claims
Where we have a reasonable concern about a false defect claim, intentional damage, product swapping, manipulated photographs or video, repeated abusive claims, or misuse of the return or exchange facility, we may request additional evidence, inspect the product, compare it against order records, place the claim under review while we investigate, or decline a claim where the evidence establishes it is not genuine. We take this step only on the basis of evidence and do not treat every disputed claim as fraudulent.
26.Delivery Acceptance Records
For ready-to-wear orders, we maintain a record of items delivered, items accepted, items returned at the doorstep, any size exchange requested, delivery timestamp, and the assigned delivery staff member. This record helps resolve any dispute about what occurred at delivery, and is used together with — not as a substitute for — your rights under applicable consumer protection law.
27.Payment
Accepted payment methods are shown at checkout. Where payment fails, is duplicated, or a refund is approved, we will process it through the original payment method or another lawful method, and inform you that bank or payment-gateway processing times may vary. Full detail is set out in our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
28.Cancellation and Refunds
Cancellation and refund treatment differs by order type (custom tailoring, ready-to-wear, accessories) and by how far the order has progressed. Full detail is set out in our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
29.Shipping and Delivery
Serviceable locations, estimated delivery timing, and how we handle delays, failed delivery, an incorrect address, or an inaccessible location are set out in our Shipping & Delivery Policy.
30.Privacy and Customer Data
Our collection and use of your personal information, including measurements, order history, reference images and payment information, is described in our Privacy Policy. Measurement information is treated as sensitive customer information with access limited to staff who need it for their role.
31.Intellectual Property
The Tailor 67 name, logo, website content, and original designs displayed on the website belong to Tailor 67 or its licensors. You may not reproduce, distribute or create derivative works from this content for commercial purposes without our prior written consent.
32.Limitation and Responsible Use of Services
You agree to use the website and Services lawfully and not to misuse the ordering, comparison, return or exchange facilities. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under applicable Indian law, including your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.
33.Force Majeure
We are not responsible for delay or failure to perform an obligation where this results from an event beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, strikes, government action, or significant disruption to transport, power or communications. We will inform you and take reasonable steps to minimise the impact where such an event affects your order.
34.Changes to These Policies
We may update these Terms and our other policies from time to time. An updated policy applies prospectively from its effective date and does not retrospectively alter the terms that applied to an order already confirmed before that date. We retain a record of previous policy versions for our internal records and for handling any dispute relating to an earlier order.
35.Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to your rights under applicable consumer protection law (including your right to approach the appropriate consumer forum for your place of residence or business), the courts at Bikaner, Rajasthan shall have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from these Terms.
36.Complaints and Grievance Redressal
If you have a complaint about an order or these Terms, please see our Grievance Redressal page for how to reach us and how your complaint will be handled.
