Refund & Cancellation Policy

How cancellations and refunds are handled across custom tailoring, ready-to-wear and accessories.

1.Overview

This policy explains when a cancellation is available and how a refund, if due, is calculated. It applies together with our Terms & Conditions. Cancellation and refund treatment depends on the order type and the stage the order has reached — it is not a fixed rule that applies the same way to every order.

2.Custom Tailoring — Payment

Custom tailoring orders are generally paid in two parts:

  • 50% advance payment at order confirmation, before production begins
  • The remaining 50% payable at the milestone configured for your order, normally before or at final delivery

The exact amount payable, applicable taxes, and payment method are shown at the time of booking. The advance payment is not automatically treated as non-refundable in every circumstance — refund treatment depends on order stage as set out below.

3.Custom Tailoring — Cancellation by Stage

  • Before measurement or fabric collection: the advance payment is refunded, less any payment-gateway charges that are not recoverable by us.
  • After measurement and/or fabric collection, before cutting: a deduction is made for measurement and collection services already performed and any costs reasonably incurred, and the balance is refunded.
  • After cutting: because your fabric has been cut specifically for your order, cancellation and refund options are significantly more limited; we will explain what, if anything, can be refunded based on work and materials already committed.
  • After stitching or customisation has begun: cancellation for a change of mind is generally not available, as the garment has been produced to your specific requirements.

If cancellation arises because Tailor 67 has failed to deliver the agreed service or there is defective workmanship, this is reviewed separately and an appropriate refund or remedy is provided regardless of the production stage reached.

4.Ready-to-Wear — Cancellation

A ready-to-wear order may be cancelled before it is dispatched for delivery, subject to its current status. Once an order is out for delivery and doorstep trial, the doorstep trial process in our Terms & Conditions applies: if you accept no garment, the garment purchase amount is ₹0 and the applicable ₹29 Home Trial & Delivery Fee remains payable, as disclosed before checkout.

5.Accessories — Cancellation

An accessories order may be cancelled before dispatch, subject to its current status and the product-specific policy shown on the product page. Once an accessory is accepted as delivered, it is treated as a final sale except where Section 19/24 of our Terms (manufacturing defects) applies.

6.Refund Amount and Deductions

Where a refund is due, the amount reflects:

  • The amount actually paid for the affected item(s)
  • Any deduction described in Sections 3–5 above, disclosed to you transparently
  • Services already performed or materials already consumed at the time of cancellation

We do not apply deductions beyond what is disclosed in this policy or communicated to you at the time of cancellation.

7.₹29 Home Trial & Delivery Fee

The ₹29 Home Trial & Delivery Fee is a service fee for the doorstep delivery and home trial facility, separate from the price of any garment. It is retained according to the terms disclosed at checkout even where no garment from a comparison order is ultimately purchased.

8.How to Request a Cancellation or Refund

You can request a cancellation from your order details page where the option is available, or by contacting us through the details on our Grievance Redressal page. Please include your order number.

9.Refund Processing

Approved refunds are processed to the original payment method, or another method permitted by law where the original method is not available. Processing time depends on your bank or payment gateway and can vary — we are unable to guarantee a fixed number of days, but we will confirm with you once a refund has been initiated from our side.
